The Information We Collect About You. The non-public personal information we collect about you (your "Information") comes primarily from the account applications or other forms you submit to us. We may also collect Information about your transactions and experiences with us or others relating to the services we provide. Also, depending on the services you require, we may obtain additional Information from consumer reporting agencies.
Our Disclosure Policies. We do not disclose your Information to anyone, except as permitted by law. This may include sharing your Information with non-affiliated companies that perform support services for your account or process your transactions with us or others. However, because we do not share your Information in a way that triggers your right to opt out, there is no need for you to opt out. Business Continuity and Contingency Plan. eRoom Securities, LLC has developed a business continuity and contingency plan to address significant business disruptions that could affect the company's ability to conduct business. A significant business disruption that affects the company likely would affect your ability to conduct business with the company, and our plan is designed to minimize the negative effects of a significant business disruption on the company and you.
Our Plan addresses the recovery of our systems, including communications and technology systems. We rely substantially on third parties for the provision of systems. Our plan provides that we assess the outage and determine the best means available to provide access to the company's employees, authorized third parties that need access (e.g., regulatory authorities) and our customers. Depending on the scope of the outage and the anticipated downtime, we may provide you with a variety of alternative means to communicate with us. Our plan also addresses physical access to our office. For example, if we were unable to access our main office, we would conduct business from an alternative location. We also have assigned personnel certain responsibilities in the event of a significant business disruption.
No plan can eliminate the risks of service interruption, particularly when major events occur that affect our services, providers or other industry participants. Our plan assumes that we have sufficient personnel, that our service providers are operational and that there exist realistic alternatives to our current methods of doing business. In the event of any significant business disruption, we will strive to take the actions necessary to provide our customers with information, assistance, account access and the resumption of services.
